General Electric Mantle Clock

Antique General Electric Westminsterr Chime Mantle Clock - Ribbon Mahogany case was refinished and original mechanical movement was replaced with a battery operated Quartz movement and electronic Westminster chimes (see video.) Chimes on the quarter, half and three quarter hour as well as chimes the number of hours on the hour. New brass hands were installed.  This Quartz movement includes a delicate second hand. Clock face has an oval-shaped brass bezel and convex glass with the original metal face with brass numerals.   Keeps perfect time, silent operation, beautiful chimes and requires no electrical cord.  The case has opening rear door for easy access to "C" battery. Originally manufactured in 1947.
